On July 24, a group of high school students from Baltimore, Maryland, the United States, arrived at Mount Huangshan Scenic Area in China's Anhui province, where they embarked on a cultural and educational journey to explore its natural beauty and rich heritage.

The trip holds special significance as it marks the 45th anniversary of sister-state ties between Anhui and Maryland.

Amidst the summer haze, the students marveled at Huangshan's iconic peaks, ancient pines, and misty landscapes. At Yuping Scenic Area, they gathered by the famed Welcoming Guest Pine, a symbol of friendship, to capture the moment. Huangshan's serenity and China's hospitality are unforgettable, said student Niobi Anxel Reyes, reflecting on the bond between the two regions.

Lead Teacher Chelsea Nakabayashi expressed hopes that a lasting connection would be forged. The group also visited Tunxi Old Street and Hongcun village, further immersing themselves in Anhui's culture. This exchange highlights the enduring friendship across borders.
