Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area in Huangshan and the management authority of Angkor Wat in Cambodia renewed a friendship agreement on June 4, continuing their heritage pact since 2016.

The two sides discussed pressing issues such as heritage protection, eco-tourism and smart management, exploring new co-cultural tourism cooperation paths.

Cambodian officials commend the scenic beauty of Huangshan Mountain and acknowledge the scenic area's expertise in management. They noted that in recent years, the partnership between the two entities has strengthened, and they anticipate the initiation of additional projects aimed at deepening collaboration and fostering goodwill between the peoples of both countries.

The UNESCO-listed sites of Huangshan Mountain and Angkor Wat formally established a memorandum of friendly cooperation in 2016, which was renewed in 2020. This latest agreement focuses on collaboration in areas such as preservation innovation, resource sharing, and cultural exchanges.
